It depends on the changes. Adding or reconfiguring rooms can affect where alarms are required – we’ll advise as part of your renovation work.

What are the signs my switchboard needs an upgrade?
Old ceramic fuses, no safety switches and breakers that trip when several appliances run are common signs. Older switchboards are more likely to short-circuit, so it’s worth having a licensed electrician assess yours.
